  • To Demonstrate Binocular Vision

    1. Hold a pencil upright with your arm extended straight out in front of you.

    2. Close one eye and bring the other arm up to touch the top of the pencil. Note it is difficult to judge the distance of the pencil.

    3. Repeat the process using the other eye.

    4. Repeat the process again but this time with both eyes open. Note it is very easy to touch the top of the pencil, i.e. binocular vision allows more accurate judgement of distance.
